Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De 2 release postponed due to Raid 2? Here’s what we know

Ajay Devgn is currently basking in the success of his recent release Singham Again. The film has garnered humongous response and continues to remain masses favourite. Ajay is currently an actor on roll with multiple films in his kitty. While the release of Raid 2 was announcd yesterday, an update on De De Pyaar De 2 has surfaced.

Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De 2 release postponed

It was earlier this year in May that the makers of De De Pyaar De announced that the film starring Rakul Preet Singh, Ajay Devgn, and R Madhavan will be released on May 1, 2025. However, as per reports in Pinkvilla, it has been revealed that the makers have decided to push its release to September and Raid 2 has replaced it. While the exact date is yet-awaited, the fans will surely have to wait a little longer to watch Ajay Devgn in his comedy avatar. The crime thriller was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on February 25, 2025. However, the latest announcement confirmed its postponement.

On Tuesday, the actor took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and shared that the film will be released on May 1, 2025. “IRS Amay Patnaik’s next mission begins from May 2025! Raid 2 is all set to release on 1st May 2025!” he wrote. Besides Ajay Devgn, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor. Talking about De De Pyaar De 2, the sequel will reportedly revolve around Ajay convincing Rakul’s family for marriage amid massive age-gap.

On the work front, the actor is also shooting for sequel of Son Of Sardaar. The shoot recently took place in London. The film stars Ravi Kishan and Mrunal Thakur alongside Ajay in pivotal roles.
